Basic Info For Post Tryout Decisions
This is a copy of an email that went out to every player who properly registered for tryouts through Demosphere. A PDF of the team budget was also included with the email.

Dear Soccer Families,

Budget Notes

Demosphere Service Fee

Last year EUSA Buffalo did not include the Demosphere Service Fee in the budget.  Families went in to register and the fee was added on during the registration process.  Families wanted us to change this to include our costs for using the system into the budget itself.  We have done that, so the budget reflects the final cost to participate.

Uniforms

This season families will be asked to purchase a new uniform.  Initial estimates for the regular kit for players ages 12 to 17 (three jerseys, two shorts, and socks) is around $175 / youth team kits ages 10 and 11 will be around $60.  Uniforms are NOT INCLUDED in the budget and will be good for two years.

Team Competition Budget

The competition budget listed is essentially the money from the budget your coach and team manager work with to provide the team with the competitions for the season (Registration fee, referee fees, coach travel expenses).  When the seasonal plan is presented by the coach to the team you will also be given information about this budget.  If you do more than what the budget allows for some additional money will be collected.  If you are well under this amount the extra money will go back to the families as credits into next season.

Other Info

Tryouts conclude today.  Coaches will review their lists and submit their selections to the club in the next couple of days.  As soon as the information is collected and verified an email will go out to the players and the list will be posted on our web site.  At that point in time families will have until September 1st to register online with a deposit.  After September 1st registrations may be accepted, but you run the risk of your child’s position on the roster being given to someone.  Go to “Online Account” from the home page to register!

Designations will be one of the following…

  • Blue Team – Place on the “A” team roster immediately from tryouts
  • Red Team – Place on the “B” team roster immediately from tryouts
  • Pool – Your child has been placed in a pool of players who will be placed on a roster after the coaching staff watches them more during training in November and December
  • Waiting List – Good enough to be in the program, but not enough to crack the roster (If someone turns down a spot it will be offered to your child)
  • Cut – Not ready for the demands of the program regardless of spots available on the roster

Dual Carding

  • All players u12 and older are not permitted to participate with another soccer program
  • All players u11 and younger are not accountable to the Dual Carding ruling and may also participate with their travel programs

Indoor Schedules

  • Indoor schedules for November and December will not be available until mid to late September.  Roughly, here is the plan per age level…
  • U10’s – Wed and Sun at Epic
  • U11’s – Tues and Sun at Epic
  • U12’s – Wed/Fri and Sun at Epic
  • U13 thru u17 – Mon & Wed at Sahlens, and Sun at Sportsplex every other week
  • U18’s – TBD

* This is not set in stone and will likely change in some way, but gives you a rough idea for planning purposes.

Payment Plan / Financial Assistance

  • After your initial deposit the remaining balance is broken into eight payments starting in October and ending with a May payment.  Players not current with their payments may have their passes pulled to prevent participation in competitions until balance is made current again.  If you have financial difficulties please contact us ASAP to work out a plan that is manageable.  We are hoping to also be able to offer sponsorship/fundraising opportunities this year.  Details coming in early fall.

What to Expect in September and October

  • Most communication will come directly from the club via the email address you provide in the Demosphere System.  Once team managers are established most communication is channeled through them.  Fall soccer will be made available to players u12 and younger (details coming soon).  The standard programming for all age levels will begin in November.  Some planning for late November/early December competitions will be made during this time.
