Finally We Have a Keeper, Director of Keepers Actually!
Empire hired Eric Barnes as new Director of Goalkeeping

Empire Revolution Buffalo is excited to annouce the agreement between the club and Head Niagara Men's Coach Eric Barnes.  Coach Barnes will immediately begin in his new role with the club for the 2014 2015 season. A comprehensive overhauling of the current keeper prorgamming is expected, including curriculum, programming, and staffing. "We have always had a number of good individuals working with our keepers over the last few years, but the opportunities and the consistent vision for how we trained our keepers just wasn't there. Eric has a proven track record for doing just that and we are excited to take this step in improving our programming" says Director of Coaching Tom Garigen.

Eric will start by rebuilding his staff, many of whom will come from within the club, but some will come from outside. He will also be working directly with team head coaches to make sure the goalkeepers are included in training sessions and even help them better understand the position so they too can add more value to their respective goalkeeper's development. Of course his time spent on the field working directly with players will be a huge asset to the players as well.
